So, I was at McDonald's a few weeks ago and I remember telling the lady at the drive-thru mic thingy that I wanted a dollar fry and a Double Cheeseburger-both from the Dollar Menu. I know what the total should have been with tax, and it wasn't the total that she gave me. But, it didn't really hit me until I drove off to the window. So, of course, I cursed her out in my head as I drove to the window. I figured that she gave me a medium fry instead of the Dollar fry. I explained to her that the total should have been lower and she said that the Double Cheeseburger was no longer a dollar-it's now $1.19.

Apparently, McDonald's has changed its entire Dollar Menu and the Double Cheeseburger was removed from the Dollar Menu and replaced with the McDouble. It's a Double Cheeseburger with just one slice of cheese, compared to the two that the Double Cheeseburger has. Since McDonald's operators pay about 6 cents per slice of cheese, they're hoping that this will cut costs.
