Whatever your reason for wanting to delete your MySpace profile, MySpace gives you three options to do so. The obvious option is for you to delete the profile yourself.
1. Log in to MySpace.
2. From your Home page, click on My Account (upper right).
3. From the Settings:Account page, click on Account (upper left).
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
5. Click on Account Cancellation.
6. If you’re sure that’s what you want to do, click Cancel Account.
7. On the confirmation page, click on Cancel My Account.
8. You’ll receive an email from us with a link to finalize the deletion process.
9. Follow the instructions in the email.
10. If you don't receive the email, or the link in the email does not work, follow the instructions below, Remove all content...
That should do it, but for some reason, MySpace has two other methods to delete your MySpace profile. I don't know why.
Remove all content and ask us to delete your Profile
1. Log in to MySpace.
2. From your Home page, click on Edit Profile.
3. Remove all content in the Interests and About Me sections.
4. Write REMOVE PROFILE in the About Me section. This lets us know you have control of the Profile.
5. Remove Comments, Friends, and Photos, if you like.
6. Click on Contact MySpace. To help us direct your request, on the Contact MySpace form, select or enter:
Email Address: [an email address we can use to contact you]
Category: Profile/Account Deletion
Subcategory: Delete Profile
Subject: type in DELETE PROFILE
Question: enter your Profile Friend ID number; tell us that you've removed all content from your Profile and written REMOVE PROFILE in the About Me section of your Interests section.
Send us a salute and ask us to delete your Profile
If your Profile has photos of you, send us a salute and we’ll delete the Profile for you.
Click on Contact MySpace. To help us direct your request, on the Contact MySpace form, select or enter:
Email Address: [an email address we can use to contact you]
Category: Profile/Account Deletion
Subcategory: Delete Profile
Subject: type in DELETE PROFILE
Question: enter your Profile Friend ID number. Why are you deleting your Profile?
Attach Documents: use Browse to find and attach your salute.
If there are no photos of you on your Profile, we won’t be able to release any information about the Profile. Sorry. MySpace takes privacy very seriously.
Most Profile deletions take less than 72 hours, but in a few cases, it may take longer. Please let us know if it takes more than one week. Once the Profile is completely removed from our system, you can use your email address and URL on another Profile.
Deleting your Profile PERMANENTLY REMOVES all Profile information, including Photos, Comments, Blogs, and Friends.
