Yes, it’s true that Kelly Rowland is no longer managed by Beyonce’s dad, Mathew Knowles. But, they both say that the split was amicable.

But, people will still wonder what caused Kelly to leave. There have always been rumors that Beyonce’s dad caused a lot of conflict between Beyonce and her Destiny’s Child group mates. Some are even saying that he is the reason that Beyonce’s solo career actually went somewhere, and Kelly and Michelle’s…well, you know.

I disagree that Mathew is the reason that Kelly and Michelle didn’t have much success as solo acts. I just think that Beyonce is easier to market. There’s more interest in her. Kelly and Michelle seem so boring. Beyonce has Jay-Z to use for publicity… I mean, um, people like to hear about Jay-Z and Beyonce. Besides, Kelly and Michelle’s music is not all that great. So, even if Beyonce’s dad were to put more effort into marketing them and he did successfully grab listeners’ attention, there’s no guarantee that their sales would soar.
